Hello and Salaam!
I’m Hafsa, a former Primary School Teacher turned Homeschooling Mama teaching my two beautiful and highly entertaining girls – 4.5 year old Ammarah and 2.5 year old Hibah. We are originally from the UK but currently reside in the holy city of Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
This personal blog follows our journey through homeschooling in Saudi Arabia. It features my own approach to homeschooling by creating and applying my own curriculum weaving Quran and Islamic Studies into our daily learning as well. Essentially I’ve taken what I learnt from my Primary School Teaching and incorporated it into our homeschool. To allow this to work, I am also running a private nursery at home. This way I can still teach in a way that I am used to, in a class room environment (and my children enjoy the social company in our small group) but still include the holistic homeschooling approach – where essentially learning never stops.
You will also find some of our reflections and experiences of life in Saudi Arabia, parenting tips, teaching tips, travel posts and free resources on the blog too.
I am hoping to be able to inspire and motivate those of you considering homeschooling. Please feel free to contact me for any ideas, tips or support!
Thank-you so much for stopping by 🙂
