Bismillah. Welcome to the start of your Tafsir Journey. Recite the Quran and read it with meaning. Find out what Allah teaches us through the Quran. Whilst this is just the tip of the ice berg, you will find the more you learn, the more there is to know! Remember the Prophet (saw) said:
“Take up good deeds only as much as you are able, for the best deeds are those done regularly even if they are few. ‘ (Ibn Majah)
So whether you take a month or a whole year, take your time as you reflect through the 28 lessons in this Surah al-Baqarah Tafsir Project. We worked through this Surah Baqarah study in the month of Ramadan and thoroughly recommend its study for your children aged 9+. It’s a great series to cover in your Halaqah circles with your kids or as a Quran Study once a week.
The Surah al Baqarah Tafsir project is divided into 28 lessons with a thematic focus in each lesson as inspired by the themes in The Clear Quran by Dr Mustapha Khattab. The resources cover all the verses of Surah al Baqarah in English followed by discussion prompts and activities to allow children to engage in what the verses are covering. We do recommend guiding your children with this study and working on it together.
